My 5 year old daughter wants a skateboard and a play tool set for christmas WHY?

Ok here's the deal I have a typical 5 year she loves to read and write...she knows all her colors,letters,shapes ect..so I ask her what she wants santa to bring her this year for christmas and she tells me she wants a skateboard and a play tool set,I've showed her all the new toys for little girls,I suggested a bike,a scooter,and an electric car but she only wants a skateboard and tool set whyyyy???
OK for all the narrow minded people she has always loved playing with barbies and dress up clothes.. Im just trying to figure out is she going threw a tom boy stage there's nothing wrong with it Im just needing some opinions thanks...
She doesn't have any brothers..although this is her first year in school(pre-k) could that have something to do with it?

I too am a girl and when i was 5 years old i skateboarded played with hot wheels videogames and everyone thought i was gonna grow up & be a lesbian, well i was just tomboy and maybe your daughter is too and she probably will be for a very long time im 18 yrs old still play video games still skateboard play guitar and have more guy friends but hell i aint gay (im engaged) theres a small percentage of girls that just take interest in boys toys and its ok dont worry shes just a bit of a tomboy shes not weird shes wont be a dyke later in life shes just not your average girly girl

Boy hobbies give you more useful talent and exercise in life anyway

Skateboarding:exercise and good sport
Barbies: sit there talkn to yourself
