Behringer xenyx 502 help!?

So I went and bought the behringer xenyx 502 and when I got home I plugged in my guitars and was ready to start and when I plugged in my acoustic guitar (no electric) that has a separate pickup to plug Into an amp it has a weird noise that makes the guitar sound weird can anyone help? I will try and see the problem but for now I need help so I know whether or not to go exchange it

I've had bad luck with Behringer. It could be your cable, your input jack(s) or the battery in your pre amp. Does the other guitar do it, too? If not, then you got it narrowed down. If you try a different cable, and it still does it, you've narrowed it down more. If you change the battery and it still does it, then you might need a new jack.

Or, you could have it set for a louder tone and the guitar's pick ups are feeding back? Turn down the volume, then eq it flat, turning up the treble and so on a little at a time until you get a good tone with no feedback...on the clean channel, mind you.

You might have a bad channel, too. Just try to find one guitar into one channel the works, and switch the guitars...trial and error.
