How do i repair my Predetor-I electric scooter (Moped)?
Hiya, I have a electric scooter (moped) called a Predetor-I, but i have a problem with it. I have not used it for like a year and when i brought it in yesterday i put it on charge for like a day and it don't even move. When i take the charger off my scooter dont even turn on. Can anyone help me?

You can be pretty sure that the battery is shot from being discharged so long.I would be looking to buy a new one because even if the old one gradually accepts a charge ,it will be too weak.

Question about an electric scooter battery (with details and specifics)?
So I've come to the conclusion I may need to replace the battery of my "Electric Ride" moped type scooter. Now I went to take out the battery to find a black box with nothing on it. So I looked at the charger and here is what it said:
(the first letter looked like a funny L before OLONG)OLONG
Zhejiang Wolong Hi-Tech Co. LTD.
WLE-36V Battery Charger
Type: WLE-36V
Input: 110V~ , 50/60 Hz 100 VA (box with a line through it) 2A,250V
Output: 36V (four dots with a line over them) , 2A (same box) 5A,250V
QUESTIONS:
**It has two fuses, how do I know if they are bad.
These fuses are like twist out and less then one inch long
**Is this giving me any information about the batter?
**Can I tell what batttery I need by measuring its height, width, and length?
**Will the charger give me any indication if my battery needs to be replaced?
**Does my charger need to be replaced?
**Where is a good place to get batteries or chargers? (depending on which is replaced)

I'm not famliar with electric scooters. This is what I can say.
Battery charger:
ZH Hi-Tech - company that makes the charger
WLE-36 - the model of the charger
Type - what kind of battery it's used for
Input - plug into any 110v wall socket to turn it on
Output - This is the range of how many volts & amps the charger puts out to charge a battery
Fuse:
If it's glass or clear plastic, you should be able to see a strip of wire inside. If it's broken, the fuse is bad. Test with a multi meter (ohlm meter) and check for continuity between the 2 ends (terminals) of the fuse.
Battery:
The only way to get a replacement is to see if there are #s or letters on the battery, not the charger. If there are no markings, then you'll have to find a dealer that sells your make of scooter.
To check if the battery or charger needs replacing, you need a multi meter that checks volts and a load tester.
Sorry, there are no simple answers.

peugeot speedfight 2 50cc moped/scooter (2005) restriction question please help!!?
Hey, i am thinking about buying a peugeot speedfight 2 (2005 model). The one for sale has been fitted with a new sports exhaust and been destricted. However, as i am only 16, i need it to be restricted. So would anyone be able to tell me what parts of the moped would need to be changed/removed/added to it for it to be legal for me to ride and approximately how much this would cost me? Thanks for any help

You'd have to ask the current owner, but most likely the exhaust would have to be changed, there would probably be a washer in the variator, and he could have re-jetted the carb too. So you'd need to buy a washer of the correct size (hard to figure out what size though) a smaller carb jet (you'd have to dismantle the carb, and look at the jet to find what size it is) and buy a new exhaust. More trouble than it's worth. But the police don't care if it's de-restricted, just don't tell the insurers. You'll be hard pressed to find a restricted scooter out there, it took me ages to derestict mine.

Electric scooter or motor scooter?
I want to buy a scooter, but I don't know the pro/cons. Will a full "tank or battery" last as long as I need it to? 8 miles to school, 8 miles back. Anyone able to give me some advice? Also, how much is a good deal for one?

take the one with a battery. it is less of a pain to charge it all night instead of blowing money on gas.

How do you change the oil on a typical 50cc moped/scooter?
I have a Wildfire Motors WFH50-S2 49.5cc electric start scooter with a CVT transmission. HOW DO I GO ABOUT CHANGING THE OIL?? OR AT LEAST TELL ME HOW TO CHANGE THE OIL ON ANY TYPICAL MOPED/SCOOTER!

If it's a 2 stroke and most 50cc scooters are, you don't need to change the oil. The oil is pre-mixed with fuel (via the oil tank) unlike a 4 stroke that uses sump oil that requires scheduled changing.

What maintance do I need to do for a 2005 Bandit 150cc scooter that has been sitting for 2 yrs?
It's in great shape with only a 1000 miles on it, but it's just been sitting for 2yrs and hasn't been running.

The service you need to depends on if it was put away right last time it was used, usually when you leave something for that long if it is a 2 stroke engine you have to drain the gas because it goes bad. But I,m going to assume that your scooter is a 4 stroke engine, you need to check the following:
1. check the oil if its black or dark brow and seems dirt you need to change it.
2. check all of the filters on the scooter such as the air filter if its dingy brown clean it or easier just replace it.
3. check the spark plugs if they are burnt of covered in crap replace them.
4. you need to lubricate all the moving parts such as the suspension and cables and if it is chain driven the chain.

Finally you should start it, and if it doesn't run right or at all take it to a motorcycle shop or a mechanic and have them look at it
