Can I swap a 500 watt electric motor for a 600 watt motor on my X-treme X500 elcectric scooter?

If the motors have the same type of frame # then you should be able to swap them. You may need to also swap the charger, the batteries, the controller.
It may be easier to just buy the 600W scooter. Did you try to contact the manufacturer and make an inquiry with them?
I would think that you could get away with it, as long as the motors have the same frame and will physically fit with the same mounting location.
